Helium 10 vs Jungle Scout for Listing Images
On the image question specifically, Helium 10 wins by default: its Listing Builder generates AI images, and Jungle Scout has no image generation at all. What Jungle Scout does have is a Listing Optimization Score that grades your existing images, which is a diagnostic rather than a fix. Neither should decide your suite purchase, though — the cheapest Helium 10 plan carrying the AI tools is $99 a month billed annually, which is a lot to pay for an image generator.
Almost every Helium 10 versus Jungle Scout comparison is about keyword databases, and almost none of them answer the image question. Here it is, plainly: Helium 10 can generate listing images and Jungle Scout cannot. Jungle Scout scores the images you already have; Helium 10 makes new ones inside Listing Builder. That is the entire head-to-head, and the interesting part is what each of those two things is actually worth.
What Helium 10 generates
Image generation sits inside Listing Builder, behind a control that produces AI images from the product details already in the listing draft. Helium 10 markets it for product and lifestyle visuals for listings and Amazon Posts, images for A+ content including logos and headers, and seasonal or promotional creatives. In May 2026 the tool was updated to analyse up to five uploaded product photos at once, where it previously took one — a meaningful change, because a single photo gives a model very little to work with on shape and finish.
Two caveats matter more than the feature list. First, Helium 10's own guidance is that AI output needs review before it goes anywhere near a listing, and it names the specific failure modes: logo accuracy, product shape, label text, Amazon's image rules and any visual claim. Second, Listing Builder does not enforce Amazon policy for you — it has no guardrail that flags a prohibited claim or a non-compliant main image. The generator is a drafting aid, and the vendor is honest about that.
Helium 10 also does not publish a layered or PSD export for generated images. What you download is a finished raster file, so a later text change means regenerating rather than editing.
What Jungle Scout does with images
Jungle Scout's Listing Builder is text tooling. AI Assist writes a title, description and feature bullets from your keyword bank; the Listing Optimization Score grades a listing across title, description, key features, keywords and images, with live feedback as you edit; and a Seller Central connection imports and syncs listings both ways.
That image row in the score is not nothing. It is a diagnosis, and diagnosis is a real step that plenty of sellers skip — knowing that images are the weak part of a listing tells you where to spend, which is more than a generator does. But it is strictly the diagnosis. Jungle Scout does not create, edit, crop, resize or check the compliance of a single pixel.

What the image feature actually costs
Helium 10's AI features start on Platinum, listed at $129 a month or $99 a month billed annually, with higher usage limits on Diamond at $359 a month or $279 annually. Enterprise starts at $1,499 a month billed annually. Jungle Scout's Catalyst plans run Starter at $29 a month, Growth Accelerator at $49 and Brand Owner + CI at $129, with Listing Builder available on the two upper tiers and AI Assist capped at 100 uses a month on Growth Accelerator and 500 on Brand Owner.
Read those numbers as an image buyer and the conclusion is uncomfortable for both. If you already pay for Helium 10 Platinum or above, the image generator is free at the margin and you should absolutely use it for drafts. If you do not, buying a $99-a-month research suite to get an image generator is one of the worse ways to spend that budget: standalone image tools in this category run $8 to $30 a month, and a freelance designer charges $10 to $15 for a single image.
And if you are on Jungle Scout, the image line in your budget is simply separate. That is not a criticism of Jungle Scout; it is a fact to plan around.
Where each one wins on images
Where Helium 10 wins
- It generates images at all, which settles the comparison as stated.
- Copy and images come out of the same Listing Builder draft, so they at least share a source.
- Five reference photos per generation since May 2026, up from one.
- Covers A+ headers, logos and Amazon Posts, not just gallery images.
Where Jungle Scout wins
- Its Listing Optimization Score grades images as part of the listing, which tells you whether images are the actual problem.
- Nothing to review for hallucinated labels, because nothing is generated.
- A cheaper entry point overall, at $29 a month for Starter.
- It does not imply an image capability it lacks — a lower risk of buying the wrong tool.
How to decide
- Already on Helium 10 Platinum or higher? Use the generator for first drafts and review every output against the main-image rules yourself.
- Already on Jungle Scout? Keep it for research, use the optimization score to confirm images are the weak point, and budget for images separately.
- Choosing a suite from scratch? Choose on research quality, keyword data and PPC tooling. The image module is not a big enough difference to move a decision at this price.
- Is the image job the whole job? Then neither suite is the purchase. A dedicated image tool costs a fraction of either subscription.
Worth knowing before you compare further: neither suite reads your reviews and your competitors to decide what each image should argue, and neither hands back an editable file — that is the gap tools like Graflio are built for.
Common questions
Is Helium 10's image generator good enough for a main image?
Treat it as a draft tool. Amazon's main image has hard requirements — a pure white background at RGB 255,255,255, the product filling roughly 85% of the frame, no text, logos or props, and at least 1,000 pixels on the longest side for zoom, with 1,600 or more recommended — and Listing Builder does not check any of them. Anything generated also needs a look for distorted product shape and invented label text before it goes live.
Can I use Jungle Scout for research and something else for images?
Yes, and most Jungle Scout users do. The listing score even helps here: it tells you which listings need image work before you spend anything on producing it.
Does Helium 10 do A+ content images?
It generates visuals intended for A+ content, including logos and headers. That is different from generating A+ modules with copy and layout; the images still have to be placed into modules in the A+ Content Manager yourself.
Will Jungle Scout add image generation?
As of August 2026 it has not announced one, and its 2026 releases have gone into forecasting and automated optimisation suggestions rather than creative tooling. Buy what a tool does today, not what its roadmap might contain.
