Helium 10 AI Image Generator Alternative
This is not an alternative to Helium 10, and you should not cancel it. It is an alternative to one module inside it. Helium 10's Generate AI Images button in Listing Builder makes product and lifestyle visuals next to your copy, and if you already pay for Platinum ($129 a month, $99 billed annually as of August 2026) it costs nothing extra to try. It is a companion to a keyword tool, not a listing-image system: it does not import an ASIN to research the argument, and Helium 10 does not publish whether its output stays editable. Graflio does both.
Nothing on this page argues that you should leave Helium 10. It is the best-known keyword and product research suite on Amazon and Graflio replaces none of that. What this page settles is much narrower: whether the AI image generator that ships inside Listing Builder is enough to produce the six or seven gallery images a listing needs, or whether it is a convenience feature attached to a tool that was built to do something else. It is the second one, and that is not an insult.
What the Helium 10 image generator actually is
Inside Listing Builder there is a Generate AI Images control. It produces product and lifestyle visuals you can drop into a listing or into Amazon Posts, with settings for image size, how large the product sits in the frame, and style. The images are generated inside Helium 10 rather than by sending you to a third-party tool, which is the whole point of it being there: you write the title and bullets, and you leave with some visuals in the same session.
It sits in the Listing Builder AI feature set, which requires the Platinum plan. As of August 2026, Platinum is $129 a month on monthly billing and $99 a month billed annually; Diamond is $359 and $279; Enterprise starts at $1,499 a month billed annually. Helium 10 removed the old Starter tier in its April 2026 pricing change. If you are already paying for any of those, the image generator costs you nothing more to open, and that makes trying it the rational first move for anyone in this situation.
Helium 10 also runs the opposite trick well. Its Listing Builder can take a product image you upload and read details out of it to pre-fill the product name, description and key features. That is genuinely useful and Graflio does not do it.
What the Listing Builder update changed, and what it did not
The 25 March 2026 Listing Builder update was about Amazon's shopping assistant — then branded Rufus, now Alexa for Shopping — not about pictures. It added question-and-answer content formatting aimed at how the assistant surfaces conversational content rather than keyword-dense bullets, and it raised the number of ASINs you can pull assistant insights from to two, up from one. That work is real and it matters, because Alexa for Shopping is increasingly the layer between a shopper and your listing. It is also entirely a text and content-structure change. Helium 10 announced no change to how the image generator works, and it does not publish an export resolution, a monthly image cap, or whether generated images can be reopened as layers.
That last gap is the one that decides most catalogues. If the output is a finished raster with the headline burned into the pixels, then every future change — a claim your legal team tightens, a price that moves, a German translation of the same layout — is a regeneration, and a regeneration moves things you did not ask it to move.
Side by side, on the image job only
| Graflio | Helium 10 Listing Builder | |
|---|---|---|
| Primary job | The listing image set | Keywords, research, listing copy |
| Starts from | An ASIN or listing URL | Your keyword bank and a prompt |
| Reads your reviews and rival listings | Yes, before any image exists | Not for the image step |
| Product in the image | Your real photo, composited | Generated visuals |
| Callouts anchored to the photo | Yes, to pixel coordinates | Not published |
| Editable after generation | Layer editor, text stays text | Not published; regenerate variations |
| Brand kit across a set | Palette, type and logo per set | Not published |
| Keyword and product research | None | Best in class |
| Entry price | €10 of credits free, no card | Platinum $129/mo, $99 annually |
Prices are the vendors' published list prices as of 13 August 2026. Rows marked "not published" are exactly that: Helium 10 does not document the behaviour, and we are not going to guess on its behalf.
Where each one wins
Where Graflio wins
- The argument comes from evidence. Paste an ASIN and the pain points, USPs and image plan are derived from the live listing, its reviews and the category best sellers before a single pixel is drawn.
- Your actual product photo is composited in. Generation handles scene and background layers, so the pack shot in the image is the pack shot the buyer receives.
- Output opens as layers. A headline is text, a callout is an object, and changing either takes seconds instead of a re-roll.
- Callouts anchor to coordinates on the photo, so the line points at the actual port or seam and stays there through an edit.
- Per-action pricing. €10 free without a card, then roughly €0.33 a credit; research costs 0.1 credit and a finished image one to three.
Where Helium 10 wins
- Everything that is not an image. Cerebro, Magnet, inventory, refunds, alerts — Graflio has no answer to any of it and is not trying to have one.
- Zero marginal cost if you already subscribe. A seller on Platinum can test the module this afternoon for nothing.
- One workflow. Copy, keywords and visuals in a single session beats two tabs, especially for a single SKU.
- Assistant-aware copy. The March 2026 question-and-answer formatting is ahead of most of the market and Graflio does not write your bullets.
- Image-to-text reading. Upload a photo and Helium 10 fills in product details from it.
The maths on a real catalogue
For one SKU, the built-in module is free and good enough to be worth an hour. The picture changes at volume. Twenty SKUs at seven images is 140 images, and the question stops being cost per image — Helium 10's marginal cost is zero — and becomes how many rounds of regeneration you can survive, and whether the 140 images look like one brand. A brand kit applied across a set answers the second question; layers answer the first. On Graflio's side, 140 images is roughly 140 to 420 credits: the €49.99 plan carries 150 and the €199.99 plan 875. Neither number is dramatic. The time is where the difference lands.
How to decide, plainly
Keep Helium 10 either way. Nothing here suggests otherwise, and a seller who cancels a research suite to save on images has made an expensive trade.
Use the built-in generator when you need a lifestyle background or an Amazon Posts visual, you have one or two SKUs, your copy is already settled, and you do not expect to revise the image again.
Use Graflio when the image has to argue something — a dimension diagram, a comparison chart, a feature callout pointing at a specific part — or when you have more than a handful of SKUs, or when the set will be translated for amazon.de, .fr, .it and .es, or when a change six weeks from now must not mean regenerating the image.
Use neither when your product photography is the actual problem. No generator improves a flat, badly lit source, and Amazon still wants the main image on pure white with the product filling roughly 85% of the frame and at least 1000px on the longest side for zoom to work (1600px or more recommended).
Common questions
Is Graflio a Helium 10 alternative?
No. It is an alternative to one module inside Helium 10. Helium 10 does keyword research, product research, inventory and advertising work that Graflio does not touch, and the honest recommendation is to keep paying for it.
Can I use both together?
That is the normal setup. Research the product and pull the keywords in Helium 10, write the copy there, then paste the ASIN into Graflio for the image set. The two workflows meet at the ASIN and nothing has to be re-entered.
Does Helium 10's generator follow Amazon's main image rules?
Helium 10 does not publish a compliance check for its image output, so treat the rules as your responsibility whichever tool you use: pure white background at RGB 255,255,255, product filling about 85% of the frame, 1000px minimum on the longest side with 1600px or more recommended, and no text, logos or props on the main image. Text is allowed in the gallery images, which is where infographics belong.
Is the image generator included on every Helium 10 plan?
It belongs to the Listing Builder AI feature set, which requires Platinum or higher. Since the April 2026 pricing change there is no Starter tier, so the practical floor is $99 a month on annual billing.
