Pixelcut Pricing Explained, for Amazon Sellers
As of 13 August 2026 Pixelcut lists Free at $0, Pro at $10/mo ($8 billed yearly, 600 AI credits) and Business at $30/mo ($24 yearly, 3,600 credits). Image models cost 1–10 credits each, so Pro yields 60–600 generations a month and roughly $0.03–0.67 per usable image after re-rolls. That is the cheapest render in the category. The catches: the free tier has no commercial licence, and every text correction is a fresh generation.
Pixelcut publishes three tiers: Free at $0, Pro at $10 a month or $8 billed yearly, and Business at $30 a month or $24 billed yearly, checked on pixelcut.ai/pricing on 13 August 2026. Pro carries 600 AI credits a month, Business 3,600. That makes Pixelcut the cheapest serious tool in this category, and the honest headline is that the sticker price is real. What it hides is the re-roll rate, because credits are spent per generation and a prompt-driven edit is a new generation.
The published tiers, as of 13 August 2026
| Free | Pro | Business | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly | $0 | $10 | $30 |
| Billed yearly | $0 | $8/mo (save 20%) | $24/mo (save 20%) |
| AI credits | Not stated as a monthly allowance | 600/month | 3,600/month |
| Background removal | Limited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Upscale | Limited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Generative fill, expand, AI backgrounds, pro eraser | Day-capped | 300/day | Up to 1,200/day |
| Batch exports | — | 1,000/month | 2,000/month |
| Team members | — | 3 | 10 |
| Commercial licence | No | Yes | Yes |
Two things in that table matter more than the prices. The free tier exports without a watermark but does not include a commercial licence, so it is a trial, not a route to selling. And the advanced tools are governed by daily caps rather than by credits alone, which means a heavy Saturday can stop before your monthly credits do.
What a credit actually buys
Pixelcut's own credits article describes credits as the resource consumed "whenever you create or edit images with certain advanced AI models". The cost per image is not flat: it ranges from about 1 to 10 credits depending on the model you pick, and the app shows the cost in the model picker before you generate. The documented endpoints are Imagen 3 at 10 credits per image and Luma Photon Flash at 1. Video runs 5 to 50 credits per second. Credits are consumed on successful generations, and also when a finished generation is blocked by content moderation. Extra credits are bought in blocks of 2,000.
One discrepancy worth knowing before you plan a budget: Pixelcut's help centre describes tiers named Pro, Pro+ and Max at 600, 3,600 and 9,000 credits a month, while the public pricing page lists Free, Pro and Business. As of 13 August 2026 the two pages do not agree on tier names, and the pricing page shows no plan above Business. Treat the checkout screen as authoritative.
The per-usable-image maths, including re-rolls
Published price per generation is the number nobody should budget from. The number that matters is price per image you actually upload, which is the generation cost multiplied by your re-roll rate.
Take Pro billed yearly: $8 a month, 600 credits. On the most expensive documented model at 10 credits, that is 60 generations a month, or about $0.13 each. On a 1-credit model it is 600 generations, or $0.013 each, capped in practice by the 300-per-day tool limits rather than by credits.
| Scenario on Pro ($8/mo yearly) | Generations | Usable images | Cost per usable image |
|---|---|---|---|
| Background swap, 1-credit model, 1 re-roll | 600 | ~300 | ~$0.03 |
| Lifestyle scene, 10-credit model, 2 re-rolls | 60 | 20 | ~$0.40 |
| Text-bearing image, 10-credit model, 4 re-rolls | 60 | 12 | ~$0.67 |
Even the pessimistic row is cheap. At two-thirds of a dollar per finished image, Pixelcut undercuts every freelancer, every agency and every Amazon-specific tool including ours. We are not going to pretend otherwise. The re-roll rate matters not because it makes the subscription expensive, but because it tells you where your hours go: four generations per keeper on a text image is four rounds of reading, rejecting and re-prompting.
Where the ceiling is
The constraint on Pixelcut for Amazon work is not price, it is that a change means a regeneration. In a prompt-driven pipeline, the text is baked into the pixels. Correcting a claim, a dimension, a certification number or a translated headline is a new generation with a new random seed, and the rest of the image moves with it. On a background swap that is irrelevant. On an image whose whole job is to say "IPX7 waterproof, 42 hours battery, fits 6.1–6.9 inch phones" accurately, it is the job.
Two more facts, stated precisely because they are easy to get wrong. As of 13 August 2026, pixelcut.ai's homepage and pricing page do not name an Amazon-specific infographic product, and they do not describe importing a product by ASIN or listing URL; the named capabilities are background removal, upscaling, expand/uncrop, generative fill, shadows, batch editing, AI image and video generation, magic eraser, product showcase and AI actors. Third-party reviews describe Amazon-sized templates inside the app, which we could not confirm on Pixelcut's own pages. And a widely circulated 2026 claim that Pixelcut has rebranded to "Pixa" is not reflected anywhere on pixelcut.ai as of the same date, so we are not repeating it as fact.
Against Graflio, on cost
| Graflio | Pixelcut Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry | €10 of credits, no card | Free tier, no commercial licence |
| Paid floor | €49.99/mo, 150 credits | $8/mo billed yearly |
| Cost per finished image | 1–3 credits, roughly €0.33–1.00 | ~$0.03–0.67 depending on model and re-rolls |
| Cost of a text correction | Zero. Edit the text layer | A fresh generation |
| Starts from | An ASIN or listing URL | An image you upload |
| Output | Layered, editable | Flat raster |
Where Graflio wins
- Edits are free and instant, because text is a text layer rather than pixels.
- The image's argument comes from the listing, its reviews and the category best sellers, not from your prompt.
- Callouts anchor to coordinates on the real product photo and survive an edit.
- Localising a set for amazon.de or amazon.fr re-typesets the same layout instead of regenerating it.
Where Pixelcut wins
- Price. $8 a month billed yearly is a fifth of our entry plan and it is not close.
- Background removal and upscaling, unlimited on Pro, are best-in-class and we do not try to beat them.
- A polished mobile app, which we do not have.
- Batch export of 1,000 images a month on Pro, useful for catalogue clean-up.
- General-purpose scope: it edits everything, not only marketplace images.
Who should buy which
- You need clean product cut-outs, upscales and lifestyle backgrounds. Buy Pixelcut Pro at $8 a month billed yearly. It is the correct answer and nothing here beats it on cost.
- You are testing and have not sold anything yet. Use the free tier to evaluate, then upgrade before you publish, because the commercial licence starts at Pro.
- Your images have to carry precise, editable text. Budget for the re-roll loop, or use a tool that keeps text as text. That is the split, and it is about architecture rather than price.
- You run a catalogue in several EU marketplaces. Count the localised variants as new generations before you decide, because that is where a $8 subscription quietly turns into a fortnight of prompting.
The pattern we see working is both: Pixelcut for the photographic groundwork, something research-driven for the images that argue a selling point.
Common questions
How much does Pixelcut cost?
As of 13 August 2026, Pixelcut's pricing page lists Free at $0, Pro at $10 a month or $8 billed yearly, and Business at $30 a month or $24 billed yearly. Pro includes 600 AI credits a month and Business 3,600.
Can I use the free Pixelcut plan for my Amazon listing?
Not safely. The free tier exports without a watermark, but the commercial licence is listed only on Pro and Business. Treat free as an evaluation tier and upgrade before anything goes live on a listing you sell from.
How many images do 600 credits produce?
Between 60 and 600, depending on the model. Pixelcut's credits documentation puts image models in a 1 to 10 credit range per image, giving 60 generations a month at the top end and 600 at the bottom. Divide by your re-roll rate for the number of images you can actually upload.
Does Pixelcut import an Amazon listing by URL?
As of 13 August 2026, neither Pixelcut's homepage nor its pricing page describes ASIN or listing-URL import. You supply the image.
Is Pixelcut cheaper than Graflio?
Yes, on the subscription and on cost per render, and by a wide margin. It is not cheaper on the work around the render: every text change is a new generation in Pixelcut and a free layer edit in Graflio, so the gap narrows on image sets that get revised, translated or corrected.
