Amazon A+ Content Cost in 2026: What You Pay and What Amazon Does Not Charge
Amazon charges nothing for A+ Content, and Premium A+ has been free by default for Brand Registered sellers since May 2026. The Amazon-side cost is the Professional selling account at $39.99 a month plus selling fees. Design is what you pay for: Fiverr gigs from $5 to $575, and agency packages such as My Amazon Guy at $1,000 for Standard and $2,000 for Premium as of 13 August 2026. Amazon's own lift figures — up to 8% basic, up to 20% premium — are footnoted as internal data with no methodology.
Amazon charges nothing for A+ Content, and since May 2026 nothing for Premium A+ either. What A+ costs is the design work and the Professional selling account underneath it: $39.99 a month plus selling fees on Amazon's side, and anywhere from $5 to $2,000 for the modules themselves depending on who builds them. This page prices those routes as of 13 August 2026 and weighs them against the only lift figures Amazon publishes.
What Amazon charges: nothing
Amazon's own A+ Content page states the feature is free for eligible sellers, and eligibility is the cost: a Professional selling account, listed at $39.99 a month plus selling fees, and either Brand Registry enrolment with a Brand Representative or Reseller role, or generic products in your catalogue.
Premium A+ used to be the expensive part, gated behind a $5m sales threshold and an invite-only queue. That changed in May 2026, reported on 18 May and confirmed through Seller Central notifications on 21 May, and Premium modules such as hotspot images, video carousels and comparison charts now publish at no extra cost for Brand Registered sellers. Amazon adjusts the qualifying criteria periodically without publishing a fixed rule set; past guidance has required a published Brand Story module and five approved A+ modules in twelve months. Check A+ Content Manager rather than assuming.
What the design costs
All figures below were read on 13 August 2026 from the vendor's own page.
| Route | Price for one A+ page | What is included |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon's module templates | $0 | Layout only. You supply every image and word. |
| Fiverr, entry gigs | From $5–30, plus a 5.5% buyer fee | Execution against your brief; one revision typical |
| Fiverr, established sellers | $120–575 | Full module set, sometimes with keyword work |
| My Amazon Guy, Standard A+ | $1,000 | Up to 5 modules, up to 16 images, 500 words of SEO copy |
| My Amazon Guy, Premium A+ | $2,000 | Up to 7 modules, up to 34 images, 400 words of SEO copy |
| My Amazon Guy, Brand Story | $750 | Up to 19 brand story modules, up to 20 images, 200 words |
| Ecomtent | $599/mo, 25 SKUs | Listing content and imagery, not A+ alone |
The spread between $5 and $2,000 is not a scam at either end. At the bottom you buy execution of a brief you wrote. At the top you buy the brief, the copy, the images and someone who knows what fails review in your category. My Amazon Guy also lists bulk pricing at $100 per design for 20 or more ASINs, the number to negotiate against on a large catalogue.
The lift figures, and what they are worth
Amazon publishes exactly two numbers on its A+ Content page: basic A+ can "increase sales by up to 8%", and Premium A+ "up to 20%". Both carry footnote 1, attributed to Amazon internal data. A conversion figure of 5.6% is widely repeated by agencies and attributed to Amazon, but Amazon's own page does not carry it.
Treat all three as directional. "Up to" is a ceiling, not an average, and no methodology, sample size, category mix or time window is published for any of them. The comparison being made — A+ pages against listings with no A+ at all — describes an upgrade most competitive categories completed years ago. The question in 2026 is not whether A+ beats nothing; it is whether your A+ beats the one on the listing beside you.
Amazon gives you a free way to answer that. Manage Your Experiments A/B tests A+ content and images, reports conversion and units, and projects annual impact. It needs a Professional account, Brand Registry and enough traffic to reach significance, which is the real gate: a low-volume SKU never produces a readable result. Where it runs, it is worth more than any published percentage.
The cost most sellers meet twice
Basic and Premium use different canvases. A full-width basic module is 970 px wide; the Premium equivalent is 1464 px on desktop plus a separate 600 × 450 px mobile asset, with a 2 MB per-image cap and JPG, PNG or BMP accepted. Upgrading therefore means re-exporting the artwork, not reusing it: basic files stretched into the wider frame look soft.
That is a re-export if you hold layered source files and a re-commission if you were sent flattened JPEGs. Settle it before you pay: ask whether the deliverable includes editable source, because now that Premium is free for everyone, the second job is not hypothetical. Translation works the same way — four EU marketplaces means four typesettings, and a flat file is rebuilt each time.
Pay a designer when
- The category is compliance-sensitive: a wrong claim costs the listing, not the fee.
- One flagship ASIN carries the revenue and a conversion point beats the quote.
- You need consistency across a store, A+ and the carousel at once.
- You have no copy. Most of an A+ page's cost is deciding what it says.
Do it yourself when
- You know the six things the page must argue and just need it laid out.
- The SKU is long-tail; a $1,000 page never pays back on 50 sessions a month.
- You are publishing A+ for the first time. Anything beats an empty section.
- You have layered files and can re-export at 1464 px yourself.
Where Graflio does and does not fit
Graflio builds the carousel set, not A+ module layouts. It reads a listing, its reviews and the bestsellers around it, and renders on-brand gallery images that stay editable as layers. Two things follow. The research is reusable: the pain points and USPs that decide slots two through seven are the same argument an A+ page makes, so a set gives you the outline. And layered output re-exports, which makes the 970 px-to-1464 px problem a small job rather than a second commission. What Graflio does not do is lay out A+ modules, and it has no compliance checker, so the claim review is yours or your designer's either way.
The decision rule
Publish A+ before you spend anything: it is free, and an empty section converts nothing. If the ASIN does under a few hundred sessions a month, build it from Amazon's templates and images you already own. If it carries real revenue, get a fixed quote for the full module set — the $120–575 band on Fiverr and the $1,000–2,000 band at a US agency are both real markets, and the difference is copy and category judgement, not pixels. Then test it with Manage Your Experiments rather than trusting anyone's percentage, Amazon's included.
Common questions
How much does Amazon A+ Content cost?
Amazon charges nothing. Its A+ Content page lists the feature as free for eligible sellers, requiring a Professional selling account at $39.99 a month plus selling fees and Brand Registry or generic catalogue products. The cost is design: Fiverr gigs from $5 to $575, and agency packages such as My Amazon Guy at $1,000 for Standard A+ and $2,000 for Premium as of 13 August 2026.
Is Premium A+ Content still expensive?
No. Premium A+ became available by default to Brand Registered sellers in May 2026, reported on 18 May and confirmed by Seller Central notifications on 21 May. The $5m sales threshold and invite-only access were removed, and Premium modules publish at no extra cost. Amazon adjusts qualifying criteria without publishing a fixed rule set, so confirm in A+ Content Manager.
Does A+ Content actually increase sales?
Amazon's A+ page states basic A+ can increase sales by up to 8% and Premium A+ by up to 20%, both footnoted as Amazon internal data with no methodology published. A 5.6% conversion figure circulates widely attributed to Amazon but does not appear there. Treat all of them as ceilings, not averages, and test your own page with Manage Your Experiments.
Can I create A+ Content myself for free?
Yes. A+ Content Manager in Seller Central provides the module templates at no cost; you supply the images and copy. Basic modules are built around a 970 px width, so any editor that exports cleanly at that size will do. The work you cannot avoid is deciding what the page argues.
Why does upgrading from basic to Premium A+ cost extra?
Because the canvas changes. A basic full-width module is 970 px wide; Premium runs 1464 px on desktop plus a separate 600 × 450 px mobile asset, with a 2 MB per-image limit. Basic artwork stretched into the wider frame looks soft, so imagery has to be re-exported. With layered source files that is quick; with flattened JPEGs it is a new commission.
