Claid.ai Alternative for Amazon Listing Images
Claid is infrastructure: twenty-plus image operations priced per credit and callable from your own code, and per render it is several times cheaper than Graflio. It has no operation that reads a listing, no callouts, no layered output and no Amazon compliance model. With a developer and a catalogue, Claid wins. With seven SKUs and no engineering time, it is a box of parts.
Claid is infrastructure. It exposes twenty-odd image operations — background removal, upscaling, relighting, shadows, AI backgrounds, on-model fashion — priced per credit and callable from your own code, plus a web app that wraps the same operations. Graflio is a finished workflow for one job: turning an Amazon listing into a researched, editable image set. If you have a developer and a catalogue, Claid is probably the better buy. If you have seven SKUs and a deadline, it is a box of parts.
What Claid actually sells
Claid publishes its operation catalogue in full, which is refreshing. On the API side, AI backgrounds cost 3 credits an image, AI fashion 2, AI edit 2, text-to-image 1, background removal and blur 2, shadow generation 1, light and colour correction 1, generative resize 2, upscaling 1–11 depending on output size, and video 35 credits for five seconds or 70 for ten. Resize and crop is free when chained onto another operation. The default rate limit is 4 requests per second, 120 per minute.
That list tells you what Claid is: a per-operation image pipeline for catalogues. The company says it has been building generative AI since 2018 and has passed 10,000 customers and 200 million images edited, and its published case studies are marketplaces and catalogue platforms — Rappi, Mixtiles, Caranty — not Amazon sellers. The wins it advertises are seller-onboarding speed and editing cost: a marketplace operator's problem, not a brand owner's.
The prices, precisely
Claid runs two separate credit pools that are not interchangeable: web plan credits for the app, API credits for the API.
Web plans as of August 2026: a free trial with 50 web credits plus 50 API credits and no card; Essential at $15 a month for 500 credits; Pro at $49 a month for 2,000; Business on custom terms. Annual billing is advertised as saving $120. Top-up packs cost $18 for 500 credits, $60 for 2,000 and $200 for 8,000, valid twelve months. Web operations are priced slightly differently from API ones: background removal 1 credit, AI Photoshoot, Fashion or Edit 4 credits at standard quality, 10 at 2K, 24 at 4K.
Claid does not print the price of its self-serve API credit pack on the pricing page — the figure loads at checkout. It publishes the credit cost of every operation but not the cash cost of a credit, so no per-image API cost can be computed from the page alone. Get that number from your own checkout.
Do the web maths anyway, because it favours Claid and we should say so. On Pro, 2,000 credits for $49 is about $0.025 a credit, so a studio-quality AI Photoshoot at 10 credits costs roughly $0.25. Graflio's credits run from about €0.33 down to €0.18 and a finished image costs one to three of them. Per render, Claid is several times cheaper than we are. What you get for the money is a photograph. What you get from us is a laid-out image with a headline, callouts and a reason for existing.

The gap that matters: nothing writes the argument
Run every Claid operation you like on a product photo and you still have a photograph. A listing set is not a set of photographs. Image two carries the primary benefit as a headline. Image three answers the objection that dominates the one-star reviews. Then a dimension diagram, a comparison table, a what-is-in-the-box flat lay. Each is a layout decision plus a sentence, and the sentence has to come from somewhere.
Claid offers no operation that reads an ASIN, a review corpus or a best-seller list, and none that places anchored text on an image. That is a product boundary, not a defect: Claid processes pixels well and stops before editorial. Graflio starts there — paste a listing URL and the tool reads the title, bullets, price, rating, reviews and surrounding best sellers, produces a brief with pain points marked by source, then renders into a layer editor.
The second gap is the file. Claid returns finished images. When Amazon queries a claim, when the price on image five changes, or when the set has to run on amazon.de and amazon.fr, a flat image is rebuilt rather than edited. Graflio's layered output is the whole reason localisation is a retype rather than a re-render.
Where each one wins
Where Graflio wins
- ASIN or listing-URL import, with reviews and category best sellers feeding the brief before any render.
- Editable layers: headlines as text, callouts as objects anchored to pixel coordinates on the real pack shot.
- Amazon's rules built into the output — pure white main image, ~85% frame fill, 1000px minimum on the long side (1600px recommended), no text on the main image.
- No engineering required. A seller with no developer can ship a set the same afternoon.
Where Claid wins
- At catalogue scale with a dev team, an API beats a UI, and Claid's is mature, documented and priced per operation.
- Far cheaper per render — roughly $0.25 for a studio-quality photoshoot image on the Pro plan.
- Batch and real-time processing inside your own system, with volume discounts on enterprise contracts.
- Higher resolution ceilings: up to 559 MP downloads on Business, against 128 MP on Pro.
- Utility operations nobody else bothers with, like licence-plate blurring and identity cropping for user-generated catalogues.
Which one to pick
Pick Claid if you have a developer and thousands of images, if image processing needs to live inside your own pipeline, if you run a marketplace and onboard third-party sellers, or if you need photographic enhancement rather than composed listing images. Also pick it if your images are simply dark, small or badly cut out — that is exactly what it fixes, cheaply.
Pick Graflio if you sell on Amazon, have no engineering time, and need the set to argue something. The research pass is the part you cannot rebuild from a stack of API calls.
Use both on a large catalogue: Claid normalises thousands of source photos in your pipeline, Graflio builds the argued gallery sets for the SKUs that carry your revenue. They barely overlap.
Common questions
Is Claid.ai good for Amazon listing images?
It is good for the photographs that go into them. Claid enhances, relights, upscales and re-backgrounds product shots well, and its 4K output clears Amazon's zoom threshold comfortably. It does not lay out infographics, place callouts, or check a file against Amazon's main-image rules, so the gallery images still have to be designed somewhere else.
How much does Claid.ai cost?
As of August 2026, web plans are $15 a month for 500 credits on Essential and $49 a month for 2,000 credits on Pro, with a custom Business tier and annual billing advertised as saving $120. A free trial gives 50 web credits and 50 API credits with no card. API credits are a separate pool sold as a one-time purchase whose price is shown at checkout rather than on the pricing page.
Can Claid put text and callouts on a product image?
No. Claid's published operation list covers generation, enhancement, resizing and privacy utilities. There is no text layer, no callout object and no anchoring to coordinates on the product. Any typography has to be added in another tool afterwards.
Does Claid have an API, and is it worth it?
Yes, and for the right team it is the main reason to choose Claid. It covers more than twenty operations, allows several edits in one request, defaults to 4 requests per second and 120 per minute, and offers volume pricing on enterprise contracts. It requires you to build the integration, which is the trade.
Is Claid cheaper than Graflio?
Per render, clearly yes: about $0.25 for a studio-quality image on Pro against one to three Graflio credits at €0.18–0.33 each. It is not like for like — Claid returns an enhanced photograph, Graflio a laid-out layered listing image built from research. Compare cost per finished asset you would upload.
